Bianca + Andy

My dad walked me down the aisle to the instrumental version of “For the Widows in Paradise” by Sufjan Stevens.

Andy and I first met in high school through mutual friends. I thought he was so cute, but I was way too shy to talk to him.

For our first date, we went to a small party and bonfire.

Our relationship just felt different, there was a kind of ease to it. We were very comfortable with each other from very early on — it felt like we had known each other for years.

About a month into our relationship we went on vacation together, and we both realized being together just felt so right.

We were together for ten years before we got married — the topic of marriage came up a lot. I knew it was going to happen at some point, but I was so surprised when he proposed. We were walking our dog on our favorite trail and he told me to turn around so he could get a picture of me. When I turned back around he was down on one knee.

We got married at Rustic Acres Farm in Volant, PA in September. It rained a little bit just before we did our first look, but cleared up for the rest of the day.

My mother, bridesmaids, and mother in law all spent the morning getting ready, laughing, and having a great time with each other. My dad walked me down the aisle to the instrumental version of “For the Widows in Paradise” by Sufjan Stevens.

My bridal party consisted of my sisters, my husband’s sister, and his cousin all wearing burgundy dresses from Lulus.

Andrew and I had no time to sit and eat, but the menu consisted of salmon, tuscan chicken, greens with bacon and beans, roasted potatoes, rice, salad, cookies, lots of beer and wine, and a few signature mixed drinks.

Everyone was dancing and the night ended at about 11pm.

Our wedding day went off without a hitch, I would say the craziest part was how quickly the day flew by.
