Tasha + Joseph

The venue got a formal complaint from the local Major about the noise, so you can guess how late we went on…
Joseph and I work in the music industry—crossing paths a few times at shows. He made the first step when he hired me to work on a project with him. Later he explained, it was a total ruse to get to know me better!

On our first date we went for a walk in my favourite London park—Waterlow Park in Highgate. It was a cold day, but the Spring crocuses were beginning to come out.

We got married at an ancient medieval castle in The Dordogne region of France called Château de la Bourlie, under brilliant sunshine, blue sky and hundreds of shooting stars at night.

The night before, we all went into the next village for dinner and were surprised to find a fun fair and outdoor foam party, which was meant for kids but some adults went in and enjoyed themselves.
One of our groomsmen was driving my dress and the bridespeople's dresses from UK to South of France. He was taken sick and sent to hospital outside of Paris, so Joe’s uncle and the Best Man had to take a 10 hour round trip to fetch everything and missed the welcome dinner on the eve of the wedding.

I walked down the aisle to Johnny Harris’ version of Joseph’s favourite song ‘Wichita Lineman’ by Glen Campbell, followed by my bridespeople holding my veil. The girls wore kaftans from Free People and headpieces by my brand Silken Studio. Joseph had his school friends in their own suits with matching grey ties from Paul Smith.

After our first dance to Nick Cave, we danced all night to Madonna, Frankie Knuckles and Kendrick before going down to the swimming pool to finish the wine and watch the stars. The venue got a formal complaint from the local Major about the noise we made, so you can guess how late we went on…
